Cactus Garden

Uncle Ron has added to the cactus collection. Wonderful still life of some exotic Idaho plants.

Castle Rock Lavendar

While Brittany was in town we went to the new Castle Rock Lavender farm. The bees were as busy as themselves!

Columbia River Gorge Waterfalls in Fall

We stopped in the gorge on our way to Idaho this year. Short hike to a wonderful waterfall (Oneonta falls).

Mt St Helens

We took the nature walk at the St. Helen's visitor center with some out of town friends. Turns out everyone loves lilypads.

Hummingbirds .... and other things in the yard

We have a lot of wildlife in the summer. I was pleased to capture a hummingbird perching in the tree and circling the feeder.

Chloe the Cuddler

I was pleased to meet Chloe a few weeks after birth. She already looks great in pink and knows how to cuddle with the family.

We always have a great time at the zoo, but this time the polar bear was posing. :)

Last fall a backpacking trip to Goat Rocks. A few lovely views of Mt. Rainier from near and far.

A rainy trip to Canon beach that ended with a wonderful sunset. A cloudy view of the Tillamook Rock Lighthouse.

Birds of the Florida Bog

We had a few minutes before our plane left in Tampa so we toured a local bird refugee (Lettuce lake park). It was a bird filled bog.

NASA Space Center

We went to the Kennedy Space Center on our trip to Florida. It was fabulous. My favorite was the section on the Apollo missions.

Best of 2012 Collection

So this is late ... but I finally got around to organizing a highlight reel for 2012. Thanks to all of you who appear in the photos, or just offer words of encouragement over the year.

Oregon Zoo

My first visit to the Oregon Zoo was fabulous. The beaver might be my favorite, but the tiger with a wet paw is unique. :)
