Quarks are one of the two basic constituents of matter in the Standard Model of particle physics. (The others are leptons.) Antiparticles of quarks are called antiquarks. Quarks and antiquarks are the only particles which interact through all four of the fundamental forces in the universe.

Night Bridges

We hiked the edge of the Columbia river looking for a good spot to take pictures of the bridges. Finally ended up with a great view of the blue bridge and the cable bridge.

Stopped by a friends house this week. Clearly a musical family!

Farm Visit

A very short trip to Idaho, but I was just in time to see the corn chopping. Enough daylight to snap a few pictures of some of my favorite equipment.

Fall Color

I took most of these on our road trips in the northwest. In the last two weeks I enjoyed a trip to Boise, Seattle, and the mountains. Beautiful leaves everywhere!

Mt Rainier NP

Weekend trip to the National Park and the sun actually came out on the giant mountain for a few moments at a time. Beautiful fall color and a fun time at Paradise and Sunrise.

Trip to Kahlotous

Took a nice drive this weekend and enjoyed the farm sites. The dog had fun too!

Pendelton Round-Up

The theme for this event is "Let'er Buck" and I always get wonderful photos in that tone. Hope you enjoy the gallery of broncos and bulls. Also have a gallery of the other events.

Hike to Lake Basin, Wallowas

We walked uphill for a long time. Buckley was tired of having a backpack, but the view was worth it. We camped at Horseshoe lake and visited Craig and Lee lakes as well. Also a few great views of Eagle Cap, one of the more famous mountians in Oregon.

Detroit

Who said this wasn't a great city? I just got back and it was, well, everything you have heard. And it smelled really funny this time.

Only real photo activities were a short tour of the GM showroom on the floor of the Mariott.

County Fair (Kennewick Washington)

We ate the corn dogs, we visited the animals, we watched the rodeo, and we won stuffed lizards at the games. We spent a ton of money :)

Columbia River Gorge

We took the long way through the gorge on the historic highway. What a great drive past waterfalls, views, and lots of tourists.

Orlando

A few more photos from the Orlando area. Oddly enough, while I did see the Disney downtown shopping area, I never saw Disney world. Ironic. Or magical?

Kennedy Space Center

Visiting Orlando (obviously). Space center tour was fantastic. Space shuttle, rockets, big engines - what could be better?
