Aria Dance presents Threads

Just a moment to highlight an upcoming dance performance that I made the poster for. The Aria Dance Company is presenting "Threads, weaving the stories of life" on November 5th. The show will also feature guest performances from Dance Contemporary and AEON Contemporary Dance.

Live Music at Neumos

A few friends and I went to see Reggae at Neumos. Too dark to get amazing photos but I think you can see the fun the performers were having. Beres Hammond, Inner Circle, Culture feat Kenyata, Lenya Wilks.

This may have been the best birthday party ever. Seriously.

Tidal Energy

This is a longer blog post than normal because these photos require a bit more explanation. I was invited out on the RV Robertson to photograph the placement of a tidal energy data system. The system is called a spider and it is loaded with equipment to measure velocity and record other data that will help the researchers place the tidal turbines in the correct location.





Once the spider is ready to deploy the team of researchers carefully positions the system and lowers it to the bottom of Admiralty Inlet where it will collect data over time.


The University of Washington research team will analyse this data and many other sources to help determine the best way to implement tidal energy in Puget Sound.

Olympic Events - Size small

I took my niece ice skating a few weeks ago. This is her first (new) pair of ice skates and the first time she has ever seen the Olympics. Just wanted to share this tiny tribute to the wonderful athletes new and old!

Duwamish Head Sailing Race

First time I saw Teremoto sail, they did a great job with low winds for the Duwamish Head race. Great sailing! More photos in the gallery.

The Nutcracker

Just wanted to plug the upcoming production of the Nutcracker by the 9th Avenue School of Dance. A sneak peak at the photos gives you a hint of the great dance performance.

Aria Dance Performance

Aria Dance Performance

I just finished the poster for the annual dance showcase of the dance group Aria. This year the show is called "Below the Surface" and from the sneak peaks I have seen it will be excellent. Never too early to buy tickets!
